If you’re looking for a brunch in Los Angeles that feels elevated, celebratory, and just a little over the top (in the best way), Baltaire in Brentwood is one of those places that delivers an experience well beyond the typical weekend meal.

Located at 11647 San Vicente Blvd., Los Angeles, Baltaire is known first and foremost as a modern steakhouse—but on weekends, it transforms into one of the most beautiful and indulgent brunch destinations in the city.

A Modern Steakhouse with a Weekend Transformation

Baltaire has built its reputation as a refined, contemporary steakhouse—serving premium cuts, seafood, and classic dishes in a polished yet welcoming setting.

During the week, the focus is dinner service, with a menu centered around steaks, seafood, and elevated sides.

But on weekends, the restaurant takes on an entirely different personality.

🥂 Weekend Brunch Hours:

  • Saturday: 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Sunday: 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM

🍽️ Steakhouse Hours (Typical):

  • Dinner service daily (hours may vary slightly)

What makes Baltaire so special is how seamlessly it transitions between these two identities—maintaining the quality and sophistication of a steakhouse while embracing the social, celebratory nature of brunch.

The Atmosphere: Elevated, Social, and Effortlessly Beautiful

Baltaire strikes that rare balance of being upscale without feeling overly formal. It’s lively, stylish, and designed for gathering.

This is the kind of place where:

  • Tables are filled with friends catching up
  • Celebrations unfold—birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers
  • Every detail feels curated a

And yes—it’s incredibly Instagram-worthy, from the entrance where you can take the perfect picture to the over-the-top bloody Mary cart, and especially the caviar bumps.

(If you are looking for a more casual spot to meet up with friends, try some other cafés and patisseries: Under-Study in St Helena (Northern California) or Ralph’s Coffee in Newport Beach (Orange County/Palo Alto).

The Bloody Mary Cart: The Star of the Entire Experience

If there’s one thing that truly defines brunch at Baltaire, it’s the iconic Bloody Mary cart—and it’s every bit as over-the-top and customizable as you would hope.

This isn’t just a drink—it’s a full table-side experience.

The cart is brought directly to your table, where your Bloody Mary is made to your preferences. From the hot sauces to the garnishes, everything is customizable, allowing you to create something classic… or unique tailored to your preference.

What makes it especially fun (and honestly unforgettable) are the skewers.

You can add a variety of garnishes: bacon, shrimp, and vegetable skewers, transforming your drink into something closer to an appetizer made in a full presentation rather than just a cocktail. Think layers of flavor, texture, and visual drama—exactly what you want at a celebratory brunch.

Whether you keep it simple or go all in, the Bloody Mary cart turns ordering a drink into an experience in itself—and it’s one of the biggest reasons people come to Baltaire for brunch.

If you’re going to Baltaire for brunch, this is not optional—it’s part of the experience.

A Multi-Course Brunch Designed for Sharing

One of the standout elements of brunch at Baltaire is its multi-course format, designed to be shared and enjoyed slowly.

The experience begins with a selection of dishes for the table, including:

  • Mediterranean mezze featuring hummus, baba ghanoush, and labneh
  • Whipped feta topped with pistachio dukkah and pomegranate
  • Gravlax, served with blinis and chive crème fraîche
  • Zucchini bread served with whipped honey butter
  • A bright, refreshing seasonal citrus salad

These opening courses set the tone—fresh, vibrant, and meant to be passed around the table while the drinks start flowing.

Baltaire’s brunch cocktail program is one of its defining features. And a few of Baltaire’s cocktails are only offered during brunch:

The Bloody Mary Cart

A full tableside experience—customizable, interactive, and as indulgent as you want it to be.

Frozen Paloma

One of the standout drinks—and so good we came home and immediately bought a Ninja slushy machine to recreate it.

Frosted Gimlet

Light, refreshing, and perfect for a long brunch.

Other Beverages Offered During Brunch at Baltaire:

  • Non-Alcoholic Options
  • A Full Bar Menu

Dessert: Don’t Skip This

Baltaire offers a strong selection of desserts, but there is one standout that deserves special attention:

The oversized, shareable cinnamon roll, frosted table-side.

It’s indulgent, dramatic, and absolutely worth ordering.

Important to note the cinnamon roll must be reserved in advance, as only a limited number are available. If you’re going, I highly recommend adding it to your reservation.

A Special Occasion Brunch (With a Smart Insider Tip)

There’s no question—Baltaire brunch is incredible.

But it’s also:

  • A lot of food
  • A full experience
  • Something you may reserve for special occasions once or twice a year

👉 Insider tip:
If you want to enjoy Baltaire more often, consider sitting at the bar or lounge during brunch hours.

You still get:

  • The cocktails (hello, frozen Paloma and Bloody Mary cart)
  • The atmosphere
  • A more relaxed, flexible experience
